Good evening my minions! How have you been? I have been very busy trying to make Scarydad.com into the best website in the world and as days go by, the plan is coming together. Here are a couple of updates:
The work bench
As you may already know, my scary creativity has been stifled by piles of boxes, tons of chores and lack of suitable lab space for my unearthly creations. I’ve mentioned a couple of times before that I would update you on the progress of this venture.
Well, here you go.
Sunday I purchased all the supplies. A buddy came over and helped me cut the boards cobble the frame together. And let me tell you, it was killer hot in that garage.
We did have a couple of setbacks. We were coming across perplexing leveling issues. Then my friend discovered that the bubble in the level was hanging up so that it was giving false readings. Frustration level infinity.
But we worked through the issues and got the majority of the frame put together. Then he had to go home and do his own chores and by this time I was delirious from the heat so I went ahead and packed it in for the evening.
Sometime this week I’ll go ahead and place the tops and the shelves and I will be done with this little project and so can start building little ghosts and haunts. And little puzzle boxes that conjure Cenobites. How fun!
I’ll be sure to update you on the progress of the project
Meanwhile, behind the facade of this innocent looking bookstore…
- A scarydad.com logo is coming soon. I was fortunate enough that one of the most talented artists I know agreed to design a logo for me. I’ve seen a couple of the concepts and I am so excited right now. Soon enough I’ll be able to do stickers, shirts, and other site swag, as well as having some of the coolest art around decorating my website! I cannot wait!
- Scarydad is now on Pinterest. So when you get a chance, stop by and take a look!
- I think we finally got that wonky “Follow” plugin fixed, so if you’ve tried to subscribe in the past, please try again. I’m mostly pretty sure it’s not still broken.
- We are also on Twitter and Facebook so if you like what you see or think someone you know might like us, please hit us up over there with a like, a share, or a follow. They really do help to attract new readers to a site and every one is appreciated.
Well, that’s it for the moment. As always, we are always accepting ideas, suggestions, and user-submitted content. If you would like to submit something to the site or share a suggestion, hit me up at scarydad@scarydad.com
Good night!
