Scarydad Project: Gravestones

Tim Burton Gravestone

Good day my faithful Minions! Isn’t the weather wonderful? Well, Bride of Scarydad made me promise to wait until October before setting up the yard haunt. Man, I have so many projects it’s going to take the better part of October to get it all set up! I suppose if I put out a little bit every day I won’t have to hire a mutant. But then again, there is all the fun that comes with having a mutant hanging around for a few days…

I’ll keep my options open.

Meanwhile, behind the facade of this innocent looking suburban home, I have been creating pure mayhem. And gravestones. Mayhem and gravestones, yes indeed. Click the “Read More” button and I’ll show you how I did it!

It’s Decoration Time!!!

Halloween

September is gone and so is summer! It’s time for pumpkins, skulls, witches, and vampires! It’s time to choose costumes and decorate our haunts! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s OCTOBER!!!

I was able to get part one of what I hope will be a massive yard haunt up yesterday. The images are still being drying in the dark room, so we must be patient. In the coming days I will guide you through the process and show you how to make many fun things.

Oh, I’m so excited I could just KILL someone!

(And I have just the perfect place for the body!)

Scary

Hello Minions. I am so very busy building my yard haunt, decorating the inside of my caverns, and choosing costumes for myself, Bride, and Spawn. The time just keeps slipping into the future and we have so many events, parties, and projects lined up for the next several weeks. I am constantly filling my camera with images to inspire and terrify you, so be sure to check back daily for the latest Scarydad project. It’s time again for your weekly picture dump. As always, please submit your pics to scarydad@scarydad.com for a chance at internet immortality.

Enjoy!

Another Crazy N’awlins Story

Somehow much less evil than last time and I still got pretty creeped out.

Hello there Minions. As promised, I will share my recent experience in the wonderfully haunted city of New Orleans. This time something occurred that is scarier than any time before it and is so bizarre I’m still creeped out about it days later. So, first I will tell you a story and I promise you it is entirely true and in no way embellished. Then I will share with you pictures and descriptions of this awesome and awful place.

Home from New Orleans- What a city!

New Orleans

Good Evening Minions and Happy October! I apologize for the span of time between the last post and this one. You see, I was compelled to travel to the most haunted city on Earth to collect stories and pictures for you, my beloved. Unfortunately I had both crappy internet and a serious case of the being on vacation and wasted on Bourbon Street to properly keep up with the daily business.

But, I am back! I have a camera full of haunting images and a few great stories that I promise to tell you tomorrow. In the meantime I must go perform the “dad” part of Scarydad and put my #1 minion to bed. Enjoy this picture of a skeleton breaking out of a coffin and say a few prayers. You will need them when I return tomorrow.

Halloween

Good morning Minions. I know it’s Thursday and that your picdump is late. I have contacted The Morrigan and asked her to set a curse upon the flaky DSL router that caused this travesty. Please accept my sincere apologies and enjoy these frightful images anyway. As always you may submit your own pictures for a chance at internet stardom to scarydad@scarydad.com. Have a wonderful day.

Scarydad’s Haunted New Orleans Story

New Orleans

Many years ago, Bride of Scarydad surprised me with an impromptu birthday trip to the Crescent City. It was the first time I had ever been, which is pathetic since I live less than 300 miles away. Ever the fan of things dark and mysterious, and even more so a fan of booze, food, and more booze and food, I couldn’t wait. Here is the story of what happened that time I got drunk in New Orleans.
