Hello Minions, I hope all is well.

This has been a very busy week for your friendly neighborhood Scarydad. As you know, earlier this week we got our killer new logo delivered earlier than expected and it so far exceeded expectations I actually released the artist from the dungeon. I guess I could have left him down there but I might need him for future projects and I couldn’t trust that he would keep.

As if that weren’t enough, today we are proud to introduce a new member to our coven.

Everyone please welcome The Morrigan.

The Morrigan is something of an enigma. A few weeks ago she approached me and asked to contribute some material. Of course I would welcome anything she offers so I enthusiastically accepted. Then weeks went by with no submission. When I asked, very kindly, I might add, where the material was, she told me she was working on it and that I should have it soon. This morning a parchment scroll arrived at my front door. On it was runic script drawn in what looked like human blood:

runes
Interesting, but not exactly what I was looking for…

So, I called her at her job and explained that that was pretty gross, that I can’t read runes, and that this is a website so she can just email me stuff instead. I also asked her to release whatever or whoever she was getting the blood from. Mind you, I was very polite the whole time, lest I become the source of her ink… She agreed and sent me a message a few minutes later.

This is her response:

Hey guys!

Since I’m new, there is basically one thing you all should know about me, and that is that I’m a sucker for horror movies. Blood, gore, ghosts, demons, witches, killers… You name it. I’m always on the look out for a really good, creepy movie.

There is one movie that has caught my eye, and that is The Awakening.

The story is about a woman, who not believing in the supernatural, is hired to investigate the death of a boy from an all boy’s school. I’m no expert, but I can guess that she will leave the investigation fully believing in the ghost world. Yes, it may seem a bit cheesy, but to me those have potential to be the greatest.

The film comes to theaters August 10, and I will definitely try my hardest to get a seat to see it. A review will come your way once I do.

Watch the trailer and tell me that this does not look awesome.
