Some of you know that I often have guest posts published over at Dumb White Husband. That’s because the site is awesome and I’m honored to be featured there. Ben, the original dumb white husband wrote a serial about how dumb white husbands deal with the zombie uprising. Dumb White Husbands vs. Zombies: The Zomnibus is the collected parts of the serial. I haven’t read it yet because I’ve had too much on my plate. But if it’s like any of his other books, I know it’ll be hilarious. I’m going to hit Ben up for an autographed copy. The rest of you just click the links and buy books until you run out of money. Do it now.
This is a little bit different for me but here’s the news: I never heard of gluten before a couple of years ago. But a couple of years ago I started hearing about gluten and apparently it’s worse than cigarettes, red meat, and THE DEVIL all put together. All I know is that when I eat baked goods, I get heartburn really bad, and that sucks most tremendously.
My friends at I Love Halloween recently released SPOOKtacular Gluten-Free Halloween Desserts: A cookbook of delicious, wheat-free, dairy free, all natural organic recipes that will dazzle your guests at your scary party.
I don’t know if it will dazzle, but if I don’t hurt like a sombitch after a few cookies, it’s a win in my book.
This one is probably obvious. I need the Pumpkin King Figure to sit on my shelf and keep watch. Shut up. You know you want to buy it for me.
This is an odd entry so I’ll have to explain. Dead Horse was a sludge/death metal band from Houston and they were really good. If you were in to that sort of thing, Dead Horse was awesome. If you weren’t, then you were probably lame or not born yet because Dead Horse was awesome. As I was making this post I randomly searched for Dead Horse and lo and behold, their record is available on Amazon. I used to walk to work every day listening to Peaceful Death & Pretty Flowers on my portable CD player.
Good times!
