I tried a new beer this weekend while I was doing all the stuff-building and it’s pretty damn good.
As I perused the aisle at my local grocery store I saw a skull on a 6-pack and I knew it was going to be my next beer review. And boy am I glad I saw that skull. Santo by Saint Arnold is delicious. It’s not quite as bitter as you would expect from such a dark beer, but it wasn’t too sweet either. It was just right and was very refreshing in triple-digit heat. The only thing is, and this may just be a preference thing, it that it had the best flavor when it was ice-cold. As it warmed up, it seemed to have an aftertaste that, although not unpleasant, wasn’t there before. But that’s a temperature thing and did not affect my enjoyment. Just an observation.
If St. Arnold is available in your area, grab yourself a Santo. You won’t be disappointed.
